Loyalty cards in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet
Paper stamp cards get lost, left at home or put through the wash. A Loyever digital loyalty card lives where your customers already keep boarding passes and concert tickets: Apple Wallet on iPhone and Google Wallet on Android. They add it once, from a QR code on your counter, and from then on it is always on their phone.
Joining takes one scan and no app
Customers point their normal phone camera at your QR code. A short page opens with your card on it and asks for a first name, a birthday (day and month only) and, if they like, an email address. The box for offers from your business starts unticked, so the choice is theirs.
Then they tap Add to Apple Wallet or Add to Google Wallet. There is nothing to download and no account to create. If someone who already has your card joins again with the same email, they get their existing card back rather than a second one.
What the card shows
The front of the card carries your name and colours, the balance (for example 7 of 10 stamps), a progress bar towards the next reward, the name of that reward and the member’s first name. At the bottom is a QR code that your staff scan at the till.
That QR code is signed, so it can’t be guessed or forged, and a printed copy of someone else’s code is useless.
The back of the card holds your latest message, how the card works, your terms, your address and phone number, and a link to the member privacy notice. There is also a “Remove my data” link, so a customer can leave whenever they want.
It updates itself after every visit
When staff add a stamp, a visit or points, the card on the customer’s phone updates on its own. On iPhone the change also shows on the lock screen, for example “+1 stamp”, so the customer sees their progress straight away. When a reward is ready, the card says so.
Your messages travel the same way. On iPhone a message updates the “Latest news” field on the back of the card and appears on the lock screen; on Android it arrives as a Google Wallet message.
A reminder when they walk past
Add your shop’s location and the card comes up on the customer’s lock screen when they are within about 150 metres. Depending on your plan, you can add up to 10 locations, which suits a business with several branches.
This is a feature of the Wallet itself, not a message. It doesn’t eat into the breathing room between your messages; the card simply appears at the right moment.
Your customers stay in control
Removing the card from the Wallet, or turning off its notifications, stops your messages. The member privacy notice says so, and Loyever writes that notice for you from your business details. Your business is responsible for its members’ data, and Loyever processes it on your behalf.
