Frequently asked questions

Short answers about Loyever, its Wallet cards and your customers’ data.

Getting started

What is Loyever?

Loyever is a digital loyalty card for independent businesses such as cafés, barbers, beauty salons and bakeries. Your customers keep the card in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, and you manage cards, members and messages from a web dashboard.

How much does Loyever cost?

Prices are on the pricing page. Every plan starts with a free trial, and nothing is charged automatically: you pay for each period on Kapital Bank’s page when it is due.

When can I start using it?

Loyever launches in Azerbaijan first, and it is open now. Go to the pricing page, start your free trial and set up your card.

Which languages does Loyever use?

Azerbaijani and English. The dashboard, the Wallet cards and the messages your customers receive are in Azerbaijani from day one, with English alongside.

Your customers

Does the customer need to download an app?

No. Customers scan the QR code at your counter with their phone’s normal camera, enter a first name and tap “Add to Apple Wallet” or “Add to Google Wallet”. There is no app, no account and no password.

How Apple Wallet loyalty cards work

Which phones does it work on?

iPhones, through Apple Wallet, and Android phones, through Google Wallet. The join page recognises the phone and suggests the right button, and both buttons are always there.

What happens if a customer changes phone?

The balance is kept by Loyever, not on the phone. If the customer gave an email when they joined, they can scan your QR code on the new phone and join again with the same email: they get their existing card back, balance included, rather than a new one. Without an email, staff can still find them by name at the till.

What if a customer’s phone is flat or left at home?

Staff find the customer by name on the till screen and add the stamp, visit or points as usual. The card on their phone updates once the phone is back on.

You and your staff

How do staff add stamps or points?

Staff open the scanner in the browser of a phone, tablet or computer and scan the QR code on the customer’s card. A keypad opens: one stamp per purchase on a stamp card, one visit on a visit card, or the amount spent on a points card, which Loyever converts at your rate. The progress bar shows the new balance before they confirm.

How the till flow and fraud guard work

Do I need special equipment or a till system?

No. The scanner runs in the browser of the phone, tablet or computer you already have, and the card works without any till system. Staff can use their own logins, or you can set up a shared device that can only scan and add.

How do you stop stamps being misused?

By default the same card can’t earn again within 30 minutes, and adding more than 10 stamps at once needs the owner. Every entry records the staff member, the device and the location, and unusual activity is flagged on the Home page of your dashboard. Claiming a reward needs a confirmation and can be undone for 2 minutes.

Can I send messages to my customers?

Yes. You can write short messages, up to 150 characters, that appear on your members’ lock screens, and switch on up to seven ready-made reminders, depending on your plan, such as a birthday treat or a note when someone is close to a reward. Messages go out only during your opening hours, and by default there are at least 3 days between two messages to the same member.

How push messages and reminders work

I have more than one branch. Does that work?

Yes. Depending on your plan, you can add up to 10 locations, and the card comes up on a customer’s lock screen when they are within about 150 metres of one of them. Every stamp also records the location where it was added.

Data and privacy

What data do you collect about my customers?

Very little: a first name, a birthday without the year, an email address only if the customer chooses to give one, and their activity on your card. Your business is responsible for its members’ data, and Loyever processes it on your behalf. Loyever’s servers are in the EU, in Germany.

Do customers agree to receive offers?

Only if they choose to. The box for offers on the join page starts unticked, and Loyever records when a member ticked it and which wording they saw. Updates about their own balance are service messages, not marketing.

Can a customer leave and delete their data?

Yes, at any time. Removing the card from the Wallet, or turning off its notifications, stops your messages. The back of the card has a “Remove my data” link, which deletes the member and switches the card off. Members inactive for 24 months are anonymised automatically.

Loyalty for everyone.
