The till flow and fraud guard
The busiest moment for any loyalty card is the few seconds at the till. Loyever keeps that part quick for your staff, and gives you, the owner, a clear record of who added what, when and on which device.
Four screens at the till
From the scan to the reward, with a way back.
Scan the card
The camera reads the Wallet card. No phone? Find them by name.
Check on the keypad
The balance before and after shows before anyone confirms.
Confirm the reward
A plain question with the customer’s name, never a stray tap.
Undo for 2 minutes
A mistake is one tap away from fixed, and the history stays complete.
Scan the card, or find the customer by name
Staff open the scanner in the browser of any phone, tablet or computer and point the camera at the QR code on the customer’s Wallet card. The scanner needs its browser tab in the foreground, and it says so. If a customer’s phone is flat or left at home, a find-by-name search is always on screen.
You don’t need special hardware. The scanner runs in the browser, with a fallback reader where the browser has no built-in one, so the tablet already sitting by your till will do. Staff can use their own phones with their own logins, or you can set up a shared till device that can only scan and add, nothing else.
A keypad built for the counter
After the scan, a keypad opens that works with touch or a physical keyboard. On a points card, staff type the amount and Loyever converts it at your earn rate. On a stamp card they add one stamp per purchase, or set a quantity. On a visit card each visit counts once.
Before confirming, the progress bar shows the balance before and after, for example 60 of 100 going to 100. Mistakes get caught before they happen.
A fraud guard you can see
Each card has a cooldown: by default the same card can’t earn again within 30 minutes. You can change that, and when you override it yourself, the override is logged. A single add also has a ceiling (10 stamps by default); anything above it needs the owner.
Every entry records the staff member, the device and the location, and each activity row shows its source, such as “Scan · Jess”. If one person makes unusually many manual adds, a notice on your home screen points it out.
None of this is about distrusting your team. When everyone can see who did what, there is simply less to argue about, and an honest mistake is easy to find and put right.
Claiming a reward, with a way back
When a reward is ready, staff tap “Claim reward” and see a confirmation in plain words, such as: give Maya a free coffee? Uses 100 points; anything over carries to the next reward. No reward is given away by a stray tap.
After the claim, an Undo button stays on screen for 2 minutes. Undo writes a correcting entry, so the history stays complete, and the customer’s card updates again on their phone.
